Background

Bob Tacy is an Internet pioneer who brought the digital economy to the Detroit business community in 1996.  He led the diversified digital solutions effort at Campbell-Ewald.  Bob branded and created the tdah! Digital Solutions Group, ranked 44th on Advertising Age's Interactive 100 in 1999.  He grew the group from two to twenty three digitally savvy professionals while doubling sales each year.

As Senior Vice President, Director of Digital Solutions, Bob not only supervised the building/redesign and maintenance of over 20 Web sites, 3 kiosks, and numerous digital advertising campaigns but also developed digital business strategies, architecture designs, navigation, content and functionality recommendations and digital media planning for clients.  Bob went on from this position to consult with clients and manage strategy, branding and technology resources to deliver Internet, marketing and advertising solutions at the international professional services firm marchFIRST.

Bob became involved in the digital media in 1994 while coordinating the development of interactive TV applications and the trial of those applications on the Omaha and Time Warner Orlando networks for U S WEST in Denver, Colorado.  In his position as Director of new media for U S WEST he also conducted primary and secondary research to glean new trends and people's response to the digital medium, created business plans and built prototypes for new business concepts designed to launch on various interactive platforms.

Having worked for such firms as Polk and National Demographics and Lifestyles, Bob is also a veteran of the direct marketing industry.  Bob has experience in every aspect of direct marketing including mailing list rental, database development, standardization and enhancement, letter shop, and analytic profiling and segmentation.

Bob's passion is the planning, launching and marketing of new products, services and businesses for both large firms and start-ups in a variety of industries.  One such venture was the launch of a retail-based advertising agency targeted at small businesses named Ad Point.  During the eighteen-month market trial, Bob consulted with clients in a variety of industries from restaurants to axle re-builders on all aspects of their business and worked with them to develop PR, advertising and marketing materials to reach their goals.

Bob has an MBA from the University of Colorado and a BA in marketing from Western Michigan University.  He is married.  He and his wife have two sons.
